Once upon a time, there was an operating system–an absolutely great one, called NeXTStep. Alas, it is not alive anymore; luckily, it is not dead either: a vast majority of its excellent features are now available in the Apple's current operating system, Mac OS X.
Being long experienced with both Mac OS X predecessors–the "classic" Mac OS, and, particularly, NeXTStep–OCSoftware's main operating environment and supported platform is Mac OS X (and of course, its close cousin OS X, which runs iPhone or iPad). There is plethora of reasons:- Mac OS X is rock-stable: restart is there just for cases hardware goes wrong or a system upgrade is installed;
- among the things it inherited of NeXTStep one of most important is a full Unix compatibility: the unbelievable strenght of the unix software, unix shells and shell scripts, and of unix standard tools is freely available;
- the particular unix flavour to which Mac OS X conforms is BSD, often considered the best and most secure one.
- last, but by very far not least, Mac OS X is a charm to use and administrate: it offers a nice GUI, powerful set of features and a very good toolchain. Just have a look for yourself at the Mac OS X Apple page.

 | Of course, there are another reasons, even more important from our point of view, as we are mainly a software company: in short, Mac OS X is, at least at the moment, the one best equipped environment for software production:- since we specialize in custom made-to-measure software, we need a development kit which is convenient, powerful, extremely efficient, and very foolproof. At the moment, there's only one such a kit: the fully object-oriented Cocoa, the Mac OS X native development environment;
- similarly, to be able to prepare rock-stable, rich of features Web applications, we need a perfect tool: although WebObjects run in many different environments, they are native to Mac OS X and they are best supported there.

Beside software development, we also specialize in digital video processing and DVD authoring. That is another reason to focus on Mac OS X, since it is an excellent environment for multimedia and digital video in particular:- so far as amateurs are concerned, the iMovie and iDVD applications of the iLife package–bundled as part of Mac OS X–offer an extremely easy and convenient user interface, combined with a surprisingly wide set of features;
- more demanding users can get Final Cut Pro and DVD Studio Pro: cut and authoring applications, which offer services comparable to the world leading systems for a fraction of the price.
